Bio Heather R. Liberman is an associate at Leavens, Strand, Glover & Adler, LLC. Heather has assisted the firm in representing transactional and litigation clients in the areas of copyright, trademark and entertainment law. Heather also worked as a licensing agent responsible for the clearance of over 100 musical compositions and sound recordings for a major audio release. Heather is a volunteer attorney for Lawyers for the Creative Arts (LCA), a not-for-profit organization providing free legal services to members of the various arts communities in Chicago. While attending law school at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Heather was selected to participate in the Chicago Intellectual Property Colloquium Fellowship, was the vice president of the Arts and Law Society and also conducted research for a professor writing an art law casebook. Heather was a member of the International Law Review and was named an International Law Fellow for her work teaching via postal mail international relations to Congolese refugees living in Uganda. Heather has also clerked for a Cook County Judge in the Law Division as well as via the Internet for a trademark law firm located in Beijing, China. Prior to attending law school, Heather worked for a not-for-profit arts organization in Washington, DC and interned for a U.S. Senator. Heather is a classically trained ballet and modern concert dancer and has danced with multiple modern dance companies in New York City.
