Jed Enlow Named LSG Partner
July 31 2017
National entertainment law firm Leavens, Strand & Glover announced today that Jed Enlow has been named a partner in the Chicago office.
Jed had been Of Counsel with the firm for a number of years while serving as a production attorney for the award-winning Steve Harvey daytime television show in Chicago. He left that role earlier this year.
“We have had the pleasure of working with Jed for several years while he was on staff at Steve Harvey and have long been impressed by his skill as a lawyer and his depth and breadth of legal production experience,” said Peter Strand, Leavens, Strand & Glover partner. “Jed’s tremendous grasp of the evolving issues facing television show production will be a great asset to our clients.”
Jed’s experience includes drafting and negotiating agreements related to talent, licensing third-party materials, locations, sponsorships, tradeouts, and promotions, as well as personnel, confidentiality, and non-disclosure agreements. He also regularly reviews content for compliance with Federal Communications Commission and Federal Trade Commission regulations and guidelines, defamation, and other legal risks of broadcast and distribution, including for network standards and practices clearance.
Prior to his role at Steve Harvey, he handled all production legal matters for The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Rosie Show, and various other television and digital productions.
Leavens, Strand & Glover is an entertainment, media and intellectual property law firm with a focus on creative industries and endeavors. With offices in Chicago and Nashville, the firm represents both institutional and talent clients in a variety of transactional and litigation matters – including complex contractual negotiations and other strategic transactions – and crafts favorable outcomes to difficult problems.
