Travis Life Speaks at Chicago Bar Association Intellectual Property Committee on Drones & Filmmaking

LSG Associate Travis Life was the featured speaker for the Chicago Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Committee meeting on October 25, 2016.  Life’s presentation, entitled “Filmmaking With Drones,” addressed the changes in federal rules for registration and exemptions for the use of unmanned aerial systems or UAS  – more commonly known as drones.

He discussed federal, state, and municipal laws related to drones while viewing examples of drone use in films, television and music videos.  The Intellectual Property Committee is concerned with the federal and state litigation and administration of the laws relating to patent, copyright, trademark and trade secrets.
